OK i'm just about to launch a rather ambitious campaign project involving HEX in the UK. I belong to a club in the south of England, so far i've got 15 people interested in playing in 3 seperate parties. Some of the players are from other clubs in the South. The idea being to get as many people interested as possible and therefore 'cross-fertilising' clubs, i'm also intending to run some games at local cons.
TARRASQUE READ NO FURTHER (SPOILERS MAY BE PRESENT!)
So, the idea is that the characters in these groups are interlinked in various ways, some know this and some don't, some ways are obvious and some are not so obvious. Added to this are a rather large dose of subplots, hidden agendas etc. The groups all start in different places and are not necessarily aware of each other, but they may and could meet up during the course of the campaign (think LOST).
I'm also in the process of setting up an Out of Game chatroom for players both in and out of character for campaign down times.
As the story and plot develop i'll post various juicy tidbits on the Forums. Also as each story arc concludes i'll probably post the scenarios on the forum as well.
I'd also like to thank those that have posted designs and resources as they have all provided both useful and inspirational ( i hope to contribute at a later date )
I don't want to give too much away as i know at least one player (Tarrasque) is a member of these Forums but i'm so excited about it that i just couldn't keep it to myself
Currently i've only got the first book in pdf but i've got a GM screen on the way, and judging by various other posts it's a very worthwhile investment, i'm also eagerly awaiting for SOTSW to become available.
Anyway sorry to blather on but i just couldn't contain it. Any suggestions or comments over the next few months would be gratefully recieved.
Cheers in advance

Holy cow, that IS ambitious! I would love to do something like that-- the game I ran for my friends also had a bit of LOST feeling to it, in that it was set in a bizarre land that forced the players to find explanations for seemingly inexplicable phenomenon. But running it for 15 people-- that takes both guts and genius! _________________ --Sechin Tower, EGS Lead Developer--

Or madness
Cheers, like i said i'll keep you informed (by the way that's not all 15 at once!, it's 5 per session over three sessions initially. Then it might be more depending on who encounters who)
Thanx for the rep points too

Just a little update.
This campaign is working out really well and is currently running as a PBF (play by Forum game on UKRP website http://www.ukroleplayers.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=57)
also something rather interesting is about to happen to some of the groups which will make things rather interesting |
