a while back i had the deep honor of being asked to help pen the FRPGDay 2011 adventure. this was great for me because it was the first time that i knew anybody was actually going to read something i wrote (beyond love letters to my wife of course ). although the online reviews were only so-so, i was pleased with the end product, and i recieved quite a few complements from my friends here on the forum.
earlier this year i took that adventure and returned some of the elements that had been dropped due to printing space (page) requirements. it needed to be 16 pages, and as many of you know, i tend to run looooooong on anything i do. so, i set out and created what was jokingly called the "Directors Cut," which i then uploaded to my Scribd account.
Trapped in the Aircraft Graveyard; the Directors Cut
but what you may not know is that i had ulterior motives for creating that Directors Cut. that adventure had sparked my imagination and really got me started on trying to make a quality adventure for HEX players. got me to really start sharing my ideas. so i created a few more short adventures, and they were ok, but something was missing. what was it? something in the stories i was writing just didn't add up. then it hit me; none of the FRPGDay adventures had an end. they were all "open ended" in order to spark the imaginations of those playing it so that they would run home with the books, create new characters, and start a whole new campaign. cool!
but what ever happened to that Intrepid Reporter, Motion Picture Director, Lost Traveler and Snooty Professor? what will be the fate of those NPC's, the injured co-pilot Conrad, Sgt. Frank Norman and the nurse Gail?
(are you still awake? hopefully i have not put you to sleep reading all this dribble)
so last year i asked for permission to explore their fate. write a "continuation" of Trapped in the Aircraft Graveyard, create an adventure that picks up where "Trapped..." ends. that permission i was granted.
now, thanks to the help of Sechin Tower, Nestor Rodriguez, and my local gaming circle, i have completed that adventure. it has been sitting on my shelf for a few months while one of my friends, Nick Nicholls, created some beautiful hand drawn maps for it.
then back in May i posted this teaser on the FRPGDay 2011 thread:
"Can our heroes, now stranded in the Hollow Earth due to the actions of German Agents, out to recover a mysterious ancient artifact, find a way to repair their crippled airplane so that they may search for a new way home?
Perhaps a helping hand from one of mankind's distant relatives can guide them safely through the predator filled jungles and into the camp of the cruel Gem-Mans, where hopefully the supplies they need can be acquired. But they must be cautious, for a horrible fate they will surely suffer should they be capture by these invaders from a distant land..."
i know what my players did in this adventure, i'd love to hear what your players do. so now my question is, is anybody interested in this adventure or should i just leave it on the shelf over beside the unreleased Lilly Bliss is Missing and Safe Passage? is anybody actually interested in seeing where the story might have gone? _________________ ...the rich |

I'm not sure if I got the final version of this one, but I'd be glad to give it a run, assuming I can capture some viable test subjects, er, I mean, recruit some interested players. _________________ "I've got a degree in kicking arse and I'd have a doctorate in not giving a damn if I'd bothered to attend the ceremony." |

I would be onboard. I love having material that other folks have prepared.
My only issue is with the size of our normal gaming group we thend to have a fluxuation from week to week. We have somewhere between 4 and 7 players. I would likely need to modify anything I run depending on the number of people who show up. |

Demon Llama...big fan (you and Herr Sechintower) and I have a...
Dumb question: Do you get paid if I pay to use Scribd to download this material? If so, I would gladly donate, but if not, is there an alternative link to download these adventures?
Thanks. |

the adventures are free. i havn't found a way to get up the nurve to charge people for them, they're just fun to create. as for Scribd, download at will. i get nothing from the site except an online showcase place.
and thanks! hope you enjoy the adventure, its' a tad weird, but oddly complex. _________________ ...the rich |

Scribd requires me to pay $9 to sign up and download. I must be doing it wrong. |

| I noticed Scribd changed their way of file downloads earlier this year. If you upload files, you're able to download for free for a temporary time. Maybe the best thing would be to see if the material could be sent to Mythic Eras so it can be downloaded freely. |
