Hey all,
it turns out that in the year 1935, air travel in the US cost an average of just under 6c. per mile. As I've got a city-to-city distance table in my period Collier's Atlas, that means I can now easily calculate the average fares for many trips.
cheers!

Oh, and looking over a 1935 Empire Builder brochure has given my the fact that the train ticket cost was 2c. per mile.
cheers!

Mate, if you're coming to GenCon, your first rounds at the bar will be covered by me the entire time!

Thanks for the offers, guys, but getting to Gen Con is a bit on the costly and time-consuming side for me, sadly. One of the downsides of living on the other side of The Pond.
cheers!

It's funny that this comes up in a topic about the cost of air travel
For the record, I'm pretty sure I'm further away from Indy than you are and I'm going to be there Then again, I don't have a mortgage, child, car or any of those additional expenses to worry about. _________________ "Nazis. I hate these guys."
