My game description for my upcoming Ubiquity Ode to BTILC:
It's time to shake the pillars of heaven again with Jack, Wang and the rest of the gang! Bigger trouble is brewing in Little China as a ruthless crime lord attempts to acquire an ancient artifact of ultimate power. The only thing standing in his way is Jack Burton and friends. It's going to take crackerjack timing and a little bit of luck to save the day. A love of Big Trouble in Little China is recommended, but no experience is required. Besides, it's all in the reflexes! |

Where are you running this? I'd love to be in that game. BTiLC is one of the three most frequently quoted movies in our games.
I once ran a Feng Shui adventure that started with the book's Trial By Fire scenario and flowed right into BTiLC. It worked like a dream. I hadn't thought of reworking it to use HEX, but I'll be danged if the idea isn't tickling my brain now... _________________

I'll be playtesting it with my local game group, Decatur Gamers, to work out any defects in the pregen characters , lulls in the story, etc.
I'd like to run it at next year's Who's Yer Con and Gen Con. I suppose if all goes well, I could run it at this year's Gen Con informally somewhere.
I have stats for:
Jack Burton
Wang Chi
Eddie Lee
Gracie Law
Miao Yin
Margo Litzenberger
Egg Shen and Uncle Chu will be NPCs. |

Whenever you get the chance to run this, let me know. I will be there. _________________

Sweet!
I take it you're not bothering to follow the character creation guidelines, since the numbers don't add up. Not that that's a bad thing; story trumps rules, as far as I'm concerned.
But if you're going to run this on Wednesday, you're gonna make me have to drive to Indy the night before just to make it there in time. _________________

I did the stats so long ago that I truthfully don't remember what I did. I do know I started them with more experience that a standard starting character. Since the scenario is a one-shot and the characters will never be leveled, I gave them enough to give them skills I thought those characters should have.
Once the scenario is playtested, I will adjust as necessary. |

Hmm, so I did go over my stats again and I have no idea how I came up with them! I have redone all of them as a starting character build.
I have the table tents done, now I just have to stat out all the baddies. |

| Did you stat them based on HEX core, or did you base them using the Zero level skills in SotSW? If you used the Zero level skills, you'd get about an additional 2.5 points for skills |

| I didnt use any zero level skills, though I did use other material from the supplements. I also took the magic system from AFO because I really dig it, but maybe it's too complicated for a one shot game? |

Your omission of The Princess Bride in your statement shows your lack of refinement and good judgment.
I accept your challenge. I shall wait for you at the crest of the Cliffs of Insanity, where we will meet in the field of battle. I think I'll fight you left-handed. Otherwise it'll be over too soon.
You wouldn't happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
