I've got Desolation and some of the suppliments. It seems like it's ready, given that and Secrets of the Hollow Earth, to be turned into a generic system, i.e. a core book to which you toggle switches and make your own game.

Are there any official plans to do this?

Apologies for bumping this again. I think Ubiquity would make a fine generic system base, with some advantages over it's competitors (e.g., free-form but constrained magic, a unique way of giving out bennies (style points)).

I believe there was a thread on this before ... it's idea that's been passed around, though I'm not sure where Exile is with it. I agree that I'd like to see an Ubiquity Core done up ... but I've been hacking the system when I can Wink

Any news? It's a great engine - it's has fantasy, pulp. modern. Add scifi and super and it would be set.

Just thought I'd float this to the top again. UBIQUITY hits a nice sweet spot between Savage Worlds (very mini centric (you don't have to have mini's, but the rules have that feel) and Fate (a robust style point economy, etc.). However, you can still only find it embedded in actual systems. We know it can do magic and psionics, so I'd still like to see Exile put out an official core book. Maybe a kickstarter to see if there's enough interest.

i know that right now Exile is hip deep in Perils of the Surface World and also Mars, so i doubt that it would be anytime soon, though i wouldn't mind seeing a U2.0 Core Rulebook. but until that day, i'll just improvise as necessary Smile

Definitely second this - a Ubiquity Genreless/Universal system would be brilliant.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat
