Hello, everyone! My name is Daniel and I just received my copy of HEX yesterday (I ordered it a month ago). I just wanted to introduce myself to the community.
My plans for the future are DMing a game in about a month to my group, and then maybe run a demo in a convention (which does not happen a lot around here).
I am very excited from the stuff I read from the book so far, and since I like fast paced RPGs (I am lazy and don't like o memorize tons of rules about combat and tons of tables) I feel HEX will be pleasant game to run.
I have a taste for strange and uncommon (at least here where I live) RPGs also , so my favorite books are CoC, UA and AFMBE. HEX will enter that list soon enough, I believe.
Well, that's it. I have read a lot from the forums and wanted t say congrats for the good work with fan-made material and game resources.
Cheers! _________________ t h e s q u i d i s n o t d e a d |

Welcome to the forums, Danyaell! Good to see the game has made it to Brazil too. Having also popped up in France, Australia and my copy here in NZ I'd say it's pretty well travelled for such a relatively small game.
Please do keep us informed as to how your games go. There's a few threads on here with peoples first time experiences (including one of mine) that should give you some hints and tips on how the game plays.
Oh, and feel free to join in on the creative process too. We've got a pretty active community here when it comes to things like fan-written adventures and house rules, but more are always appreciated! _________________ "Nazis. I hate these guys."

Huh? What?
Oh, excuse me! Welcome aboard, there. Enjoy your stay. Have a look around but mind your step; the dino guano is thick around here.
The loo's down the hall to the left. If you have any questions, I'm sure you'll find someone to help you.
Yes, yes. Good day to you too.

Welcome to the Hollow Earth community here on the XGS site. New folks, and their perspectives on the game, are always welcome.
Look forward to discussing the game with you. _________________ "The pterodactyl swooped down and...well, let's just say that Loren

Welcome Danyaell,
HEX spreads all over the surface of the world. If that continues, someone from the Hollow Earth will buy this game . _________________

Welcome, Danyaell!
I'm glad to see someone from Brasil get a copy of HEX. I've been trying to get some inroads down there, but distribution is hard to come by. In any case, thanks for ordering the game and joining the forums.
Let me know if you run a convention demo. It would qualify you to become an Expedition Leader. See www.exilegames.com/leader.html for more info.

Jeff, I would be very glad to lead and expedition here. Let me run a game with my group and see how it goes.
And over here it is wicked hard to get games and conventions happen once a year at maximum. And when they happen, not a lot of people show up. And the ones who show up are into WoD or D20.
I know, this sounds harsh but the truth is the jungle here is thick and perilous. I'll do my best to spread the word.
Thanks for the warm welcome, gents. _________________ t h e s q u i d i s n o t d e a d |

I understand. You just be careful. I don't like it when my new friends get eaten by dinosaurs.

You shouldn't have too many problems getting the WoD crowd interested. HEX is similar to WoD with the way you roll dice and that the game is more focussed on roleplaying than min-maxing your character. Sure, you can't play as an uber-powerful vampire, but who knows what the future holds _________________ "Nazis. I hate these guys."

Not counting the fact that it is wicked expensive to import things over here.
That's why most of RPGers from Brasil only play the stuff they have translated and/or is made here. With the translation, the book becomes a lot cheaper. And so different game sessions are not easy to find. _________________ t h e s q u i d i s n o t d e a d |

If you have enough people that can speak English you could always go for the .pdf option. No problems with importing there, and it's a bit cheaper than getting a 'dead tree' version too. _________________ "Nazis. I hate these guys."
