So, Mythic Eras kinda hit the skids thanks to my wacky malfunctioning brain, but Shawn and company soldiered on and brought out Danger Magnet! which I think we can all agree is very cool so far.
While there's no need to do a second mag, or try to rebrand DM back into ME, I hate to let a good name and logo go to waste, so I'm starting to formulate some new plans. You can help me. Yes, you! I've put up a couple new polls. Depending on the results I'll post some follow ups, and perhaps start some topics.

Also, feel free to bring stuff up in this thread. Aside from a magazine and the poll-related material, what would you like to see done related to Ubiquity roleplaying? _________________ - Daniel Potter (MYTHIC ERAS)

Most glad to see ME stirring again.
Consider me polled. |

It doesn't have to be 100% HEX. Just so that its around the HEX ideas. Lost worlds, cities, plateau's, Mars Adventures and etc.
Somebody ran a pirate game with ubiquity. A write up on that would be nifty to have posted on the site.
There was talk of a Western write up for Ubiquity. I think that would be great. There are threads regularly on RPG.net arguing about what western is the best. I don't think any just really grabs everyone.
You could use the site to show how good it does pulp, but how flexable it is to do other generes. (i'm a terrible writer by the way.)

I'm incredibly excited to see this up and running again, and I hope to keep working with my buddy Potter on all kinds of groovy stuff.
DANGER MAGNET! is really MYTHIC ERAS little brother, and I'm pumped up and ready to see what MYTHIC ERAS will be getting into. Hell, I hope I'm along for this ride. _________________ DANGER MAGNET! at WWW.DANGERMAGNET.COM is your source for a FREE Hollow Earth Expedition Electronic Magazine! |

| Hey great to hear you're back Mr Potter, and you're right it is too great a name to let go... How about making it a sister magazine to Danger Magnet, kinda like Dragon & Dungeon magazines, one does lots of articles and handles many things each month while the other takes an idea and runs with it expanding it out. |

Indeed, one of my thoughts is to have projects that are really too big for a mag. Also, maybe just some seeds, rather than whole articles. Another would be interviews, rather than burning mag space. _________________ - Daniel Potter (MYTHIC ERAS)

I put up a follow-up poll up on ME. Excuse the ugliness, there are some software tweaks to be done. _________________ - Daniel Potter (MYTHIC ERAS)

I'm looking at the possibility of adding commenting ability to the Mythic Eras sight. Worth it? _________________ - Daniel Potter (MYTHIC ERAS)

The ability to comment would likely depend on A) the content of the article to be commented on and B) how many other places folks have to comment. For example, I would not feel compelled to comment on the ME site about Mysteries, primarily because I can comment about that on this forum board until my fingers ache from the typing. However, there are ME-specific things (such as the radio show, its connection to DM! (and thank you for the Halloween shout out!), and other similar articles that could easily warrant comments.
In the end, my thought would be: if it is difficult and unwieldy to implement on the site, then do not bother. If it is merely the means of adding a few lines of code or "flipping" a switch (activating a feature) then by all means. |

It'll be a little while yet, but it's my intention to have a fair amount of original content. I don't think commenting on a comic strip (for instance) would really warrant a full ME forum or really a thread over here. In any case, nothing's really in motion at this point. _________________ - Daniel Potter (MYTHIC ERAS)

I just opened up Mythic Eras forums to the public. This is where we've secretly plotted Danger Magnet (and still do), but I thought it was time. There are fora dedicated to HEXipedia and DM feedback/discussion, with more to come as I solidify plans for ME. Of course I don't want to take away from Exile, which is why I've resisted in the past, but I think in the end Ubiquity can benefit by having a broader web presence. Anyone who feels like joining, come on over.

Well, I finally have some momentum on the Mythic Eras site. Head to the Mythic Readings section and you can see. Right now I'm mostly building the library from material the community has created over the last couple years, so most of you have seen what's there, but think of the newbs I've still got some other old stuff to post, and some new pieces of my own coming as well.
If you have adventures or other articles you'd like to see up, let me know. I'm not intentionally slighting anyone Doesn't need to be HEX. In fact I'd like to see a lot of non-HEX material. I can also PDF stuff if need be. _________________ - Daniel Potter (MYTHIC ERAS)
