| I'm sure an intrepid GM can easily add them, yet I'm surprised to see that there are pirates in the HEX rulebook, but no ninjas. I find this odd, since what are pirates if not the ninjas of the seas? P-) |

Not a lot of ninjas in the pulps as I recall. "Mystic inscrutable Oriental warriors", sure. Ninjas, not so much. Probably because American authors didn't know as much about Japan then as they learned later, at a guess. That, and the Oriental martial arts craze didn't really start taking off until well after WWII.
But they'd be easy to add. Take the Nazi soldier, trade in Firearms for something more ninja-like (Stealth), change the Talent from Autofire to another ninja quality (something either Stealth-, Melee-, or Brawl-enhancing), give them swords or nunchaku and throwing stars, and presto! Instant ninjas! _________________ "I think a plan is just a list of things that don't get done" |

The Slayer of Souls by Robert Chambers is a good example of that trope. Terrible read, but the secret conspiracy of Asian sorcerer assassins dating back to the time of Gengis Khan is pretty neat. The book crams the Yellow Peril, Red Scare, Weird Tale, Redemption and Romance plot into one book. Wish they just stuck with #1 and #3.

Believe it or not... most of the people on the board use Legos the indiana jones variety to be exact.
I tend to to think the Axis and allies minis are a bit small they run to about 10mm . |

I stated 4 elemental ninjas, for a game I ran using a mash up of the HEX charcter gen but borrowed there magic ability for All for One as its a better system and more flexible and they worked well, also did shaoulin monk as a npc mook will post the stats up here some time soon Dan _________________ Chairman for the Phoenix games club, www.phoenixgamesclub.org.uk |
