I believe that I'm finally caught up with everything to the point where I can attempt to run a board game.

I'd be interested in six players who are okay with playing via a board/forum set up. The game may progess fairly quickly and being able to check in on the game daily would be a plus. Being able to READ is absolutely necessary.

Players would make their own character, but only after we discussed styles, needs, and wants from everyones point of view.

Players would be required to actually make ROLLS and then post their results. 100% honesty is needed to make something like this work.

The adventure being played will be OPERATION: THULE DEATH RAY 2.0.

Let me see a show of hands for anyone that might be interested in playing.

Great, I'm happy to see the wolverine here.

The adventure will be lots of action with some investigation. Most of the action archetypes will work out fine, and refining some of them is acceptable as well.

Soldier for Hire would be a soldier, and that sort of thing.

Most flaws and motivations are available, plus I would enjoy seeing some new or unofficial versions.

At least one academic would be necessary to help round out the party, and of course a Dr. would be exceptional.

Let me know what kind of character you would like to play, and we'll get you started.

Overall, I'm a very laid back GM.

The game will officially begin Next Friday. This will give anyone else time to get involved, and for the three current players to create characters and get some background fluff up and ready.

What style of characters is everyone contemplating. I'll warn you all know that THE THULE DEATH RAY is an action adventure romp. You will be on the surface for quite some time and during that time you'll learn about the HOLLOW EARTH a little at a time. Think of a conspiracy theory slowly coming to light. Lots of action, fighting, shooting, and some puzzle/investigation.

The form will be pretty laid back. I'll post up the situation and you'll be asked to respond or react or interact with the surroundings. You'll type up a little bit and then end your post. Hopefully people respond. I'm more interested in people having a groovy time than anything else.

I hope to hear from all of you soon.

Hi John

I'm thinking about an explorer/anthropologist. He's a half indian/half british adventuring scholar. His father was an anthroplogist/aristocrat and his mother was an Indian woman. They travelled the world as a family while his father did his research. At a certain point his father sent him off to Cambridge for a formal education. Just after college his parents died in a mysterious accident. I figure the Terra Arcanum are responsible cause they were getting close to some Atlantean Secret.

Hey Mal,

The character background seems fine to me. Is his mother Indiana as in from India or as in native American? I'd assume from India but I want to make sure.

How old would he be now? How did he fare at college? Any loved ones that he still relates to, a significant other, rivalries that are still in his life?

Indian as in India!

I think he's 25 now a few years out of college. At college he did great, but he was constantly yearning to be out in the world. He had some problems with abuse being a mixed race person. His main abuser Harry Wilson is also an anthropologist and is his major nemisis/rival. He's got no one person in his life although he has tons of his parents friends scattered all over the world in all the places they had done research. So he's got close friends everywhere (at least everywhere exotic!).
